Friday 2nd January - walk **** – The Dip at Felixstowe – sunny and cold.

The visit from our son, his partner and Grandson Arlo came to an end today so it was the last day to make pancakes, we have made several over the last week! The day is cold with a keen fresh wind from the west but it was sunny so we had one last walk. We picked up Maeva and her mum and drove to The Dip to meet up with Arlo plus his mum and dad for a brilliant walk towards Felixstowe Ferry. The tide was high and splashing up the concrete steps which was great, Arlo started off on Maevas little bike but it was soon on the buggy, it felt really pleasant being sheltered from the wind but it cut across the open golf course! We turned near our picnic spot by the Deben and returned, I took the route along the sea with Arlo who quickly got wet in the rolling waves while Maeva sheltered by the seawall from the chilly wind! The highlight of the walk was spotting a seal close to the shore, then returned for lunch, we now have no food left in the house! We wave goodbye to Arlo who was heading for a surprise visit to Longleat!
